Tectonics: Design Principles, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration
For Project 2, we are required to combine our design intention and structure from Project 1 into our tectonic with anthropometry and ergonomics. The main material used was timber with a supporting material (steel) for this approximately 5m3 structure. This tectonic scaled model should encompasses form, understanding of structure and spatial quality.
In this project, I learned to put to use my research on ergonomics and anthropometric into my design. It is also my first project to have an insight into producing a set of orthographic drawings based on the model.
Outcome: A 1:10 tectonic scaled model, a 1:1 joint & joinery details following with orthographic, exploded axonometric and joinery details drawings, 2 tattoo stamps
