PROJECT 1C
Final Design Presentation & Report
After the Project 1b Schematic Design phase, we must refine the Urban Room project scheme, focusing on a fully resolved design with environmental and technological strategies. Lectures covering poetics, sustainability, safety compliance, and aesthetics will provide additional insights. As a final year student, we are expected to demonstrate critical thinking, structural sense, environmental sensitivity, and produce a comprehensive design presentation aligned with project objectives.
Outcome: 5-6 A0 panels, Physical Model (1:200)

Reflection
The last studio semester has been a transformative journey. It was quite a tough semester to me indeed, as it was a holistic synthesis of the knowledge I've acquired across various modules, converging into a project that stands out as the most challenging in my academic journey.
The studio experience was more than a learning opportunity; it was a journey of self-discovery and growth. Collaborating with peers for the site analysis project, receiving constructive critiques during interims, and iterating on designs. The challenges faced during the project pushed me to refine ideas, think critically, and find innovative solutions. One area for improvement for this project would be to identify what is crucial and give it more focused attention, as I felt I paid more attention to the structural elements and less on the design.
Also, I would like to thank my tutor, Ms Teh, who provide valuable insights and real-life experiences not only contributed to my final project but also enriched my overall understanding of architecture. Her unwavering support and guidance were instrumental in clarifying uncertainties, making my studio journey more enlightening.
As I look back on the entire studio semester, I found that architecture is not only to shape physical spaces but also to influence societal dynamics and cultural narratives. The skills acquired and the insights gained during this studio will undoubtedly shape my approach to future projects. It's not the end, but a start to more learning and doing better in the world of architecture.
